  • Who likes 240Z's?

This was found on Toronto Kijiji:

Virgin 240Z's are a rare find these days, and Nice Price or Crack Pipe is still looking. But in the mean time, here's a Canadian one with a V12 bun in the oven!

    It's a 71' 240Z in British racing Green with a Jaguar V12 motor mated to a T56 6-spd and 12 bolt Corvette IRS with 4.11 gears.

Apparently, the output is around 400hp at the crank. I don't know how he managed to shoehorn a Jag V12 into a Z car, but I'm very impressed.

The kicker? It's priced at $9800can.

I designed the worlds fastest 240Z for RIPS Racing in NZ:

We have a wide range of RIPS high-performance products ready to ship to you anywhere in the world

I'm a big fan of either L Series, or RB Motors. Nothing else for me thanks.

beautiful car either way. I assume that would be a good price for a car that shouldnt have any rust and only needs a couple small parts

            So basically it's a V12 E-Type...

              ^Pretty much. Colour is right.

I know, V12, especially Jag V12 is travesty for some. Motor isn't all that reliable. Would've done better with a 5.0 V12 from the BMW E38 or even E32.

But that wouldn't be nearly as "unique." There are a few RB'd 240Z's out there. Not a lot of V12 240Z's though.

You also get the snob appeal that comes with a British V12..as well as the repair bills..

No, needs something that isn't American. Switzer P800 VR will be "adequate."

Need some super expensive one-off RB based V12.

                          Needs a super low-displacement V12 with a twincharger.

                          We'll call it the "VB22DETC."

It sounds like a new Honda engine.

I didn't even realize the engine code contained the letters V,T,E, and C.

                              Revision:

VX22DETC - "TC" denoting the twincharger, of course. "VX" means nothing in particular, it just sounds good. :P
