that's a pretty cool idea man!
Thanks, Maybe later I'll take a picture and post it here. One thing to keep in mind is the smoked center works best on black or Gun Metal Grey.

M_melen I think Jef meant his sig pic

As far as I know, remove tail light and replace the back part of tail light -

You can buy the LED tail light's with a crystal smoked look.

East Bear in Japan sell them for R33, R34 -

Not sure who sells them for R32 in Japan. Ask Daryl at Tunerlab or Adam at FeastAuto. Or they'll probably reply if they see this thread.

They are here on SAU forum -

Sorry, I meant his avatar pic...and yeah its a little to small to see anything. I haven't taken the pic yet. I'll try to take pics this weekend. I got the vinyl tint at a place in Calgary called shadow tint. They do the 3M clear bra, window tinting and head light protection. I'd try places like that. You can also find the stuff on ebay. It's pretty easy to put on. All you need is a hair dryer to soften it and a small plastic squeegee, and if you screw it up you can peel it off and reapply.

^ When doing your taillights, did you precut? And if you do so, does it stretch or anything? like how did you make it precise?

                  black out tail lights?

there is a thing called spider lights, they are LEDS that replace your regular lightbulb, with LEDS that are on arms. They can fold down, and go in where your regular bulb goes. If you darken your Lens covers the LEDS may be bright enough to shine through.

I didn't do these lights but i have done the fog lights on my other cars (past and present). the vinyl does stretch a bit, but it looks like the tail light circles on my car were pre cut. If i were doing it my self i'd pre cut and make it a 1/4" too small around the edges and start from the center. I'd also start with light pressure to make adjustments easy.

Below is what the tail lights of my GT-R look like. The only problem I have is raised text underneath the vinyl. You might be able too see what I mean on the light furthest to the right. Making the vinyl circle smaller might help but I wonder if that would look funny. The bumps created by the text can only seen from up close but it still bothers me...I hope you like!

yarr, that be pretty slick. i dunno if that's the direction i wanna go on mine, i'll think about it some more.
off topic question from another thread i've got going, will a HKS GT2540 turbo bolt on directly to an rb20det without having to replace the manifold or downpipe? haha so offtopic but i've gotta know!
