  • Some wonderful setting ideas would be nice...

I'm taking some pictures of that R34 GT-R on Tuesday, and I'd love to have some suggestions for some nice photos. The owner doesn't want to attract alot of attention with the car, but I don't think having it by a lake would really suit it.

I'd love some suggestions from my friends here at GTRC, I'm sure you guys can think of some nice places!

He's in the Richmond Hill area!

Maybe in an industrial area of town? Lots of concrete, gray buildings..would contrast with the colour of the car.

Or maybe up on the mountain roads in the evening with the lights on.

I guess you are not from Toronto

Pictures across the lake from the Toronto skyline are usually pretty nice. But if you are not interested in shooting in front of the lake the old distillery district has some nice buildings as well.

I appreciate all the good ideas, but like I said, the owner doesn't want to be driving around downtown Toronto... and have teenagers pointing and screaming... the rail yard sounds nice, but I have no idea where there is one in Richmond Hill/Vaughn.

I'll hopefully get a little ride in it too, and maybe capture a little video if he'll let me. I'd love to see what it's like in an R34... in Canada (I've been in 2 R34's in Japan, but never one in this big country).

How about the Richmond Hill Go train station? Or behind the Walmart near colussus there is an industrial area that may have some good locations.

Steve, here's a few pics that will hopefully "inspire" you.

(I did not take these photos.)

There's a couple ideas - parking the car in front of an expensive house always looks good. I don't know about the model though, might overshadow the car..

There are no mountains, but ironically enough, it's called "Richmond Hill."

Haha, in Ontario a hill is anything with more altitude than the prairies. Us Ontartionians are so jealous of the west coast mountains. Especially us snowboarders.

I couldn't have said it better myself Daryl.

Let's weigh in a little bit here...

                          Ontario:

                          Moonstone
                          Blue Mountain

                          West Coast:

                          Whistler
                          Banff

                          ....

You can see why we'd be jealous.

Last winter I went to Hidden Valley. After spending the past 8 years boarding in the Japanese Alps I laughed my ass off. In Ontario you wait 15-20 minutes in line for the lift for a 30sec-1min run.
I've never been to the west coast of Canada, but I imagine it's similar to Japan. The trails I ride here are about 4kms in length.

                            Anyways back on topic.

Buttonville Airport may be a good location too, if they let cars on the tarmac to take pics.
Or the Allstate building in East Beaver Creek (if that is what it's still called)
