I heard about people getting payed good money for producing their own Youtube channel on TV ages ago, so was curious, had at look at how it worked and how the Youtube recouped their cost's to break even, etc. Apparently they don't, according to link above.

The way they are going, probably won't be long before Youtube is too costly for the company who owns it and closes down.

Yeah, Google bought YouTube a while back, and it hasn't been profitable at all unfortunately......not sure what they'll end up doing with it.

If bandwidth became cheaper it wouldn't be too bad, but I don't think that'll happen very fast.

Interestingly enough I heard that Twitter is even worse than YouTube.

YouTube uses a lot of bandwidth, but Twitter sends out a lot of SMS Text Messages, and those start to add up quickly.
