Been using this, needs a new cylinder because I left my 3/4 ton on it for a solid 4 hours while I was doing wheel bearings. (didn't have my big stands with me). Wouldn't mind a proper shop jack if I can find a way to justify the cost.

      Next jacks I'm buying: http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/pro....asp?RecID=872

I've got a westward aluminum jack. It was around $399 I think. I've had it for a few years.

I like it, lifetime warranty - quick lifting - but not rediculous effort to lift the car.

I had a $99 princess auto cheapie and returned it because I wasn't heavy enough to lift cars with it. I'd lift myself off the ground without heavier cars being lifted. Even light cars were a pain in the ass.

Other than that it was a good alternative - maybe if you're heavier than me (140lbs) give it a try.

i got a 40 dollar Craftsman one at Sears. Job done.
I've been brushing my teeth with jack but it's resulted in terrible amounts of tooth decay.
