I went through a hardship with a local shop. He messed up on some work, told me he'd pay to get it fixed, I came to him with the bill and he said he'd help with some of it and wasn't going to pay the whole thing. Long story short, even looking for 10+ thousand dollars if I were to sue him my lawyer told me not to waste my time. It would likely be close to if not more than 2 years before I saw any money if I even won, not to mention the massive amount of time involved.

I can sympathize with you, I'm a broke student trying to sell my GTR as well, but I don't think it would be worth your time to pursue it further.

Well it really does suck to have wasted time and money to go through this and get nothing out of it. Did you really had a chance to talk to Ms A during your first encounter so you can get a sense she wanted a gtr or purely not interested at the car? It appeared Mr. P did all the talking from what you described.

Going through a lawsuit would probably cost you more money and you'll just end up wasting more time. Since everything was agreed verbally and no written contract at hand, it'll be hard to go ahead with small claims court. Just consider this experience a learning one so, the next car buyer comes by, you'll be more cautious.

This guy beat me to it....There are fun ways to get your moneys worth, since it doesn't look like you have much of a case, I'd just enjoy your new enemies and have some fun with them.

Go over to their house with a few wrenches and loosen the compression fitting that threads into their light oil tank. Then have a few beer while you watch their yard get torn up by excavators and dump trucks.

I'm sure there are a lot of other things you can do (varying in severity) which would be very fun, and befitting.

Don't look at this as an expense....its an opportunity to be bad. lol!

rather than do something that could cause them genuine harm, loss or injury( if any of those happen a crime has been commited)

there are much more fun things you can do to ruin there days... heres a small list :
pour half a litre of oil underneath there car, they will think they have a leak

call the local police detatchment from a payphone or some other phone that is not traceable to you and say something like " they have unregistered firearms" ... the cops will show up and search around the house... you can also call in "explosives, drugs, noise. etc etc etc"

get a friend with a truck, paint on the side(water soluble paints) " landscaping " then fill the truck with cow manure or what ever type of poop thats available and shovel off into there driveway while no one is home... the neighbors will just think you guys are doing a job for them and wont think twice... after your done go hit up a spray and wash to get rid of the paint and poop from the truck( ive actually done this one we parked down the road and watched when buddy got home his exact words he screamed out were " WTF is this sh!t doing here")

i cant think of the name of the stuff but its basically powdered mucus, make sure you wear gloves when handling it but put it everywhere, his front door handle, his cars all over, his gardenhose tap, etc etc etc.... the moment he touches it his hands will get slimy, then when he tries to wash everything off it will trun to goopy nasty sticky slimy mucus like goo that only gets more and more nasty( i did this once as well to a high school teachers car years and years ago, she ended up selling the car)

you can call into the cops numerous times stating that "vehicle X" is being driven eratically and it appears they may be drunk. do this a few times and the cops will red flag them

there are alot of things you can "prank" on them to get your time/moneys worth out of these people... just remember to not cause any personal harm loss or injury... and dont get caught in the act and you should be good for a few laughs at there expense

in all reality... cut your losses and move on. you will go through the headfuck of court and probably not win. text messages dont hold up in court..... recorded phone conversations do but thats about all. you have no leg to stand on and sad but true, these people exist.
