Agreed, I played around with it again today. I still don't get it, seems like a "live" version of Wikipedia mixed with MSN Messenger

would be more then that, Android has already outdone microsoft on smartphones, they will crumble microsoft if they do come out with OS for netbooks!

looks like there is already a open source build out there.

here is a link to a demo (video) of the new Chrome OS
This morning Google unveiled its much-anticipated new operating system, Google Chrome OS. We were there to liveblog the event, and we also captured a portion of the live video stream that Google was broadcasting. This clip below includes a look at Chrome's incredibly short boot time (clocking in at only around 7 seconds for a cold boots), some of the apps ChromeOS will be able to run, and the operating system's interface. Google says that the UI will likely change significantly before Chrome OS ships, but this gives us some idea about how it will work. Check out the video below.

btw it looks like its based off of linux.

just watched a review by an average user of google wave and this is my favorite quote.

"its like getting that new toy on christmas day, but your parents forgot to get the batteries for it."

looks like it will be a very cool program, once more people get online.

open source phone = easy to make dev phone and do as you please with it.
also lots of functions in the factory android phones too.

open source app = people can mess with it to make it better or worse

Chrome OS imo looks like Google app running on windows. Only your stuck on that one app.

I use Windows 7, Best operating so far, Ubuntu and CentOS are also very good Linux distros.
