  • Selling parts on GTRC

    Hey guys
just thought i would throw this out there but i have found that there are so many parts for sale in our classifieds that sometimes it may be hard to sell.

well i got an idea to try and sell em on SOUSA(american GTRC) and it worked out pretty good for me. i sold some of my parts pretty quickly. im talking about smallish parts. ive found the americans have very little parts for sale as well so not much competition

I dono if this is the right place to post this but yea it can be moved if need be
im not trying to dis GTRC or anything so dont take that impression MODS

The biggest issue with selling parts to US buyers is the involvement of customs/duties, especially when it comes to big ticket items (an engine, for example). Granted, the speed with which an item sells on a US-based forum may be faster compared to GTRC, but the headahces that might follow that speed may not make it worthwhile, as I have found out with bitter experience.

If I were the moderator or John himself, I would actively promote GTRC to these US-based customers, and let them have a piece of our action as well. Why create a separate platform for selling Skyline-related items in the US when we have GTRC? This is just MY opinion though, and anyone on here who is unable to sell his/her car parts through GTRC is well within his/her rights to do so on SAU or SOUSA.

Yea i can understand for big items it being a pain in the arss for sure but i sold a couple small items and had no problems..its good for parting out when you have little items that are harder to sell

        this is just my opinion

im not sure if this is what you meant but if it were possible, im not a computer wiz, but maybe have a joined classified section for GTRC,SAU, and SOUSA but then also have big ticket items we want to sell local on a seperate section

        heres the link snow

When ICE was raiding Kaizo and seizing cars, the SOUSA site was down. Admin closed it, citing "we're temp. down, we'll be back up in a bit."

and mods have blocked new applicants.

I just sent feedback saying that I wanna join, I'm a member here, that I'm from Vancouver, B.C. and have greater access to parts of interest and could help out members south of the border. But in a very professional manner.

                  We'll see what they say.

not really a huge deal. I buy lots of stuff from rx7club.com which is primarily US based. I just purchased a new engine from Illinois which is currently on it's way here.
