Summer meets...

Well, s. ontarians should know me well enough, and know that when I said we should have a SkyEast meet, I wasnt kidding.

I just saw the Pur meet photos from last summer, looked like a big turnout. And I was also just looking at the SkyWest photos from this summer...Im thinking we start a huge Eastern meet signup, make a huge day out of it. I put this here to see what everyone thinks, if the idea is welcomed I'll put an official thread in the Eastern section. this'll be my last winter without a skyline, I want to try and do something productive here haha

For that reason it will never happen.

If you want to do it, you can't just sell it as a huge meet where everyone hard parks. Think of a good cruise (length is key, not too long, not too short) and then contact some sponsors to see if they want to donate any prizes. Give out the prizes at the end lol.

You need to make "yours" or SkyEast unique/desirable in that people will want to come to yours, and that no one else starts another one in the summer that everyone would rather go to.

Would be nice.. Only a select few Montrealers are actually interested in talking amongst one another about a hobby we love.. The rest just rev their neon fitted, Canadian tire wing, beat to shat GTSTs.. Great community here lol.

Be nice to meet the rest of the eastern crew! I'd even be down to meet in between here (QC) and BC .. Now that'd be an epic meet lol

Oh that is a must of course, was thinking we find a central meeting place somewhere and then cruise somewhere either remote or a place that isnt too busy. That would be pretty cool if some sponsors could donate a few little things, maybe award a few prizes for cars etc...

I would love to plan this myself, I'm sure people know me well enough that i could get something rolling...I just want to know that there would be a decent turnout.

I am grown up almost 20, and the shear awesomeness of me being around is what keeps the world spinning dont cha' know!.

And yes that was my ball busting for oakville. He has not even responded, too busy buying Skyline and GTR emblems and stickers to bother with anything else. !

and JZ does come down, but this summer's was somewhat short notice. John in the end couldnt make it and there was a pretty small turnout

It will work unless there is a chance of rain, wind or anything that may harm the precious automobile. I will be in Barrie for the summer so dunno how many meets I will trek to.
