  • Winter beater, take 2!

Well I'm sure a couple of you remember my thread to make my ugly blue Corolla a little bit more likely to get me shot in the ghetto that I live in. It involved things like this...

but now, i think i've improved it for the better. picked up a set of wheels with used tires, gave it a rattle can job, and here we are! much better.

I've been brushing my teeth with jack but it's resulted in terrible amounts of tooth decay.

well, looks like the left tires are both leaking a tiny bit, so i guess it's patching to the rescue. bummer.

i don't feel like spending any skyline money on this crappy car, no orange exhaust or lowered suspension for meeee

Why have you put a badge on your car that says "timbo" ??? Now that I've seen it, I can't unsee it.

I'm pretty sure it says Turbo, lol. And it's not off a Porsche; by the looks of it, it's off of a Volkswagon beetle..

From the pictures, those rims really aren't that bad lol.

How many cans? .. Sore index finger muscles? lol

Im pretty sure that "Turbo" blemish can be bought at Crappy Tire or Wal-Mart. I recall seeing it at either of those spots, or maybe I was dreaming again.

i got the Timbo/Turbo thing for 5 bucks at Autozone, same place i got those fake side vents that i ended up taking off when i painted.
i think i used about 6 cans of paint in all, including 2 accidental cans of green lol.
i cant believe my corolla came without a tach, but i'm kinda glad cuz now i get to learn how to hook one up. hell if i know which wire coming out the distributor i'm supposed to hook it up to, though. there are about 6, and the tach's instructions say to use one of the ecu's special connections to wire it. which i think doesn't exist on my car cuz its a 1990. rant rant rant...

There is no cheapy "Clamp to spark plug #1" option with your tach? BTW you wasted too much on a beater, paint is fine but you went too far when you got rims for it. Mexican chrome the stealies for maximum beater cred. I learned my lesson from my Corolla, just after I finished painting 1/3rd of the car it got written off and ICBC won't pay back for that sh*t no matter how many repcites you shove down their f*cking throats.
