The bar I bought is SCCA legal, works with the soft top (non glass window version) and work with the hard top.

It's called the Hard Dog M1 Single Diagonal.

My mom has a miata with a roll cage and it fits.

I agree they do look gay, BUT they are fun as hell to drive.
