  • racing helmet question.

So i know eventually i'll need a helmet, and i know about the sa ratings and whatnot.

what i am wondering though is if you need to have a full faced helmet with a visor for cars that are running between 13.9 to 9.99 or is that just for the ones running 9.99,

cause when the time comes id rather not have a visor if i dont need too.

so if anyone knows this thanks!!!
I love the thing and its worth it every time I start it. As soon as it stops make me smile ill get rid of it (not gonna happen)

Why not buy a closed face and run with the visor off/up. That way if you ever encounter an circumstance where you need the visor, you have the option.

I'd take as much protection from fire/debris as possible.

As far as the specific regulations for your specific governing body, shoot them an email; it's the best way to know for sure instead of relying on someone elses answer who may not be fully informed.

I don't know where you intend on racing, but the MRP site has details on helmet requirements for their track.

we've been to mission race way a few times for 1/4 mile and non of my customers had visor, you must have a helmet with Snell certified, you might want to check on their website.
