Amazing movie, best I've seen this year (other than toy story). So many references to toronto places, places I grew up going to, so it was pretty sweet. I jumped into the novels as well, and theyre just as good.

anyone else share the same opinions? its a damn shame it took a dive at the box office, mainly thanks to the release of "vampires suck" at the same time...lets get serious

I liked it a lot. This an The Other Guys have been two movies I didn't expect to like this year.

      -Saw the trailers. Wasn't interested.
      -Saw some promising reviews.
-Dragged friends along to go see it.
-First 30 minutes were weak..then it got progressively better.

I think it's a brilliant movie, came out of nowhere and really impressed me. Unfortunate that the trailer was badly cut. Marketing campaign was weak..I think both of these things contributed to the low ticket sales.

I've watched it twice now. There's no other movie I've seen that's quite like it. Very creative and very well directed.

I read all the books and just got out of seeing the movie a second time. I enjoy them a whole bunch. I don't think michael cera was a very good SP. Scott was kinda stupid, while michael portrayed him more awkwardly. The downloadable video game is my favourite part.
