If you're considering an E34 and E39, how about an E38 SWB? It's got the smooth lines of the E34 coupled with the class of the E39. It's a little bigger, but it still handles nicely for a large sedan. Plus, you get insta-baller status with a 7 series. I've wanted a 7 ever since I saw the 750iL in the James Bond movie.03 Infiniti G35 Coupe 5AT "Valerie"

Wow, that E32 is a trainwreck. 500E would be a great investment. I don't see the value going anywhere but up. Not a whole lot of them left.
Have you considered the Jaguar XJR? It's kind of the underdog, but it's got 400bhp and unmatched looks and class.
Another big Benz: The W126. Bargain basement cheap, and built like a tank.
I'm also a fan of the E55 AMG (W210 & W211). AMG's tend to sound amazing with simple exhaust upgrades, the E55 AMG is no exception.03 Infiniti G35 Coupe 5AT "Valerie"

Locally, I'd say anything with the AMG logo on it is good for 2-3 times the actual value, so e55's are grossly overpriced. A C36 will cost more than a E430 4Matic here. Then there is this: http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...AdIdZ221956055
Totally ruined the car IMO, unbelievable. It seems he knows what he has too, why would you ruin such a limited production collector car with LED lights?!

Found another one:
Looks unmolested, what I would do for a E60 though. I still think I'm making a right choice with the Merc. a E39 540i is really nothing too special or rare, almost all of them came with the M-package, the 2003 model is a bit rarer, but still not 500E or E60 rare. In the long run, I should be able to get alot of my money back, or even more. Just take a look at the M5's on the market right now, holding steafy at 12k for E34's, and 20k's for E39's. They don't depreciate that much.
Thinking a set of EVO II wheels, but I really want a black one. Who knows, still in the hunt. Since school has started back up, not a huge deal as I take the GO downtown.

Cheap, but the mileage is very high for that model.
Eh, E60s are depreciating right now and will continue to do so. Styling is controversial. An E60 M5 would be sweet though. 40k will get you a decent E60 M5 over here, still quite high. Next year, if tuition doesn't kill me, I'll go for a Jag XJR, E39 540i/M5 or MKIV Supra.
E39s arent rare, but they're common for a reason: they're great cars. There are two things I don't like about it: the generic tail light design, and the conventional hood. I loved the traditional "backwards" hood on my E34.
