  • The dope dog rally car.

1988 Mazda 323 GTX Turbo AWD w/ center diff lock :P
330,000kms. Still running strong, turbo pooped out so a newer one has been instaled, got tore assemble, replace rear struts and were golden. Some rust on the rear rockers just before the wheel but nothing too serious.

Older pic but it does not have those wheels, has factory wheels with snow tires on them.

    Checkered flag is also gone.

Shift light is gone, think the boost gauge is still there.

    Engines.

    Im kind of excited hahaha.

Those engines are bomb proof. Ramp the revs up to 8000RPM and let er rip.

Just curious, how much did you pay for it?

I have one as well, spent waaaayy too much money on it, in the process of installing a Haltech E8. New motor, new trans, FMIC, 3" exhaust.

I paid through the nose. a Whopping 800 dollars

And crazy rally armor mud flaps are on there way, gonna snow and ice race it this year, gonna stud a set of snow tires for ice, and one set for every day and snow, and a set of summer tires for auto X.

Ok so I am looking to doing some home made fun with my DOPE DOG rally car.

One thing is a skid plate, since well be winter racing it and rallying last thing I need is parts ripped from the under carriage by chunks or ice or snow.

Got some beefy Hella lights for it just have to fab a bracket since mounting to the bumper will end badly.
Some idea's. I am gonna try and make allot of stuff, its not going to be pretty but I may learn something and have a dope vehicle in the end. Dont want to invest much cash, so may take other parts from different vehicles and make it work.

all but 1 quarter panel and the hood is flat black otherwise its good. some area's rust is peeking out but some cleaning up should do the trick.

Please be kind as mother nature and time, and an owner not caring have not been very nice to the old girl. And I took the liberty of adding obnoxious rally livery

did you seriously buy rally armour flaps? or am I reading that wrong.

my miataflaps consist of $3.99 IKEA polypropylene cutting boards and $50 washers from home depot .
