    then obviously this proves CDguy just pretended he owned that 300.

    either way, this has taken two innocent ppl and ruined RHD image.

    Every article is somehow talking about the "question of safety" on RHD rather than the idiot who killed those ppl. (age, alcohol use)

    it's this queer.

    looks like he (or his lawyers) deleted all his social media.

    I have a snap shot of it. Look @ the lame tweets leading up to this incident.

    Simon Banke, an Ottawa man, is facing six charges in connection with the crash. He is charged with:

    * Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death
    * Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm
    * Criminal negligence causing death
    * Criminal negligence causing bodily harm
    * Stunt racing
    * Young driver with blood alcohol level higher than zero
    hmm charges like that, 20 years old, 3 orphaned children. Forget losing his license... He'll be lucky if if he can avoid jail

    He'll get a year of probation and lose his license for 2. I'm calling it.
    ?!?!!?!?
    I think his outcome is a little more grave than that.

    I'm actually French dude lol.

    The kid was also aspiring to become an RCMP officer...and his dream just went out the drain. Let that be a lesson that there are graver consequences to our actions.

With ignorance for other people safety this is something that I believe should never be tolerated!!!!

    But then I rechecked the pictures, and man there is no way that guy wasn't doing something stupid to have the car damaged that way in downtown Ottawa. Speed limit is 50, average speed is more like 30 with all the construction on bus terminals going on at this time.

    Plus, the car hit both pedestrians, kept going, and broke through a barrier to crash into an abutment. Testimonies also say the guy was driving like an idiot and had no control over his car whatsoever.

    As much as being innocent until proven guilty goes, the facts just dont add up. Even if a suspension part broke, in order to crash like that he was not following the speed limit.

    What if something came loose and he just lost control in the rain? Powerful RWD car, inexperienced driver, who knows what happened?

    Let the courts figure it out. It's their job, not yours.

    My condolences go to the family and the driver. I'd hate to have to live with that on my conscience regardless of fault.
