good eye derek. I didnt think it was, but then yeah that just put the nail in the coffin. great.

i dont mean to disrespect those who have lost a loved one in this, but its the stuff like this that makes me doubt the existance of RHD cars in Canada shortly down the road. which absolutely sucks.

Probability of wreckless driving is high, but lest we forget sporadic HICAS faults.. You never know..
          Very sad story

If its the car i think it is, then I wouldnt be surprised if he was trying to do something stupid like drift on public streets.

I love how everyone here immediately judges him guilty.

What if something came loose and he just lost control in the rain? Powerful RWD car, inexperienced driver, who knows what happened?

Let the courts figure it out. It's their job, not yours.

My condolences go to the family and the driver. I'd hate to have to live with that on my conscience regardless of fault.

Very true, I think most of us (including me) were to quick to jump the gun. Its horrible that this happened, but there are very very few young responsible car drivers.

Lots of my friends are just getting their licences, takes me for a ride and hes doing 180 on the highway, im like wtf are you doing, whats wrong with doing 115 or 120, if his suv didnt have a governor we would of been topping it out...

I don't think I have ever broke 140 in my 'line on the highway.... I dont like doing over 115 because I cant afford a ticket lol.

I though the same at first, he's not guilty yet.

But then I rechecked the pictures, and man there is no way that guy wasn't doing something stupid to have the car damaged that way in downtown Ottawa. Speed limit is 50, average speed is more like 30 with all the construction on bus terminals going on at this time.

Plus, the car hit both pedestrians, kept going, and broke through a barrier to crash into an abutment. Testimonies also say the guy was driving like an idiot and had no control over his car whatsoever.

As much as being innocent until proven guilty goes, the facts just dont add up. Even if a suspension part broke, in order to crash like that he was not following the speed limit.

Another person that screw it up for the community of rhd. I feel really bad for the family. That kind of loss would be hard to take, and the wife had serious head trauma. I hope this guys goes to jail and stays there! He should never get a chance for a license ever again. With ignorance for other people safety this is something that I believe should never be tolerated!!!!
Miss driving sooooo bad! Need to get a car on the road ASAP!
