I've been storing mine outside for the last two winters, just unhook the battery if you have a battery charger then hook it up to that, and put a nice tight cover on it. It's just snow and cold won't hurt anything. Also make sure to give it a nice wash before storing it, the cover can scratch the finish if dirt gets under it.

I'll be doing the same I think i'll drive it onto some wood to lift the chassis away from the ground a bit more

^ The more room between the ground and the car the more air will be able to circulate and the less the humidity will be accumulating in the chassis.

Also try and avoid parking it on grass.

And put metal mesh in your exhaust unless you want rodents building nests in there.

wtf you trying to say here...? Haha jk.

I stored my car in a strip-shed. There's a wicked DIY here on winterizing your car, which would be great for everyone storing their car (in general) for the winter. I would write up a nice guide but I'd be taking credit for someone else's work.

If you're keeping the car outside, use a tarp or car cover that has breathing holes. Anything else would cause too much moisture to build up leading rust.
