Lmao. This made me laugh pretty hard. AWESOME way to deter thieves!
Russell Stuart, 51, was asleep in his home in Dymchurch, Kent, England when he heard his Peugeot 405 being started in his driveway in the wee hours of the morning recently.
There was no way the light-sleeping Stuart was going to tolerate such a violation of personal property, so he leapt out of bed and raced out the front door. Stuart jumped into the car before the would-be thief got it in gear, taking a seat alongside the stunned stranger. Stark naked, that is.
According to the Telegraph, the father of two says the thief flung the door open and ran off into the night as soon as he spotted “a big naked bloke” sitting next to him.
“I said to him, ‘All right mate – where are we going then?’And he just jumped out of the car and legged it.”
Stuart, a power station technician, says his nakedness worked wonders in scaring the car thief off.
“I don’t know what the guy must have thought when a large naked bloke got in the car next to him. But when your car is being stolen you don’t think about it, you just react,” says Stuart. “I’ll never forget the look on his face, though, it was a peach.”
Ever the trooper, Stuart says he hopped into the driver’s seat and went on the prowl for the thief – still clad only in his birthday suit.
But it eventually dawned on Stuart that he should head home given that if he were pulled over by the local constabulary, he might be the one facing charges – for indecent exposure.
“I didn’t want to have my own collar felt because, at the end of the day, I was naked and it would have been hard to explain to police.”
