heavier vehicles only have one advantage over lighter vehicles.... and that is they are able to gain traction from a stop and low speeds much easier... HOWEVER... a lighter vehicle has more advantages since they are easier to stop and they turn much better.... the heavier the vehicle the more likely you are to understeer in slippery conditions....... and then when you add in power to the rear wheels its very easy to spin the tires... which can easily cause dramatic oversteer.... and lets face it.... the 300zx isnt exactly a very good platform for drifting as its ass end tends to come around WAY to fast to be able to catch it and bring it back around and regain control....
How many kids with A.D.D. does it take to screw in a light bulb?

I only have one question to ask:

What tires are you running or plan to run? Because that will make all the difference.

RWD in the snow is great, IF you can handle it. RWD has better weight distribution and WAY better turning ability than FWD. In FWD, total traction is split between going and turning. Thus, both capabilities are reduced.

RWD is very manageable in the snow with the proper tires and particularly with a limited slip differential. HOWEVER it is still a lot easier to get yourself crossed up and spun out if you aren't 100% on the ball.

A poor driver will crash in the snow regardless of which axle is the driven one.

RWD takes skill and experience to drive in the snow -- but when that skill and experience is there, I find RWD to be much much better in the snow than FWD.

Of course, neither RWD or FWD even come remotely close to

That's an awesome winter beater haha.

I have snow tires, and a NISMO 1.5 Way Limited slip aftermarket installed by Omori. I even have the installation sheet in my glovebox for it haha.

              What do I do?

Today I found a note under my wiper that said, and I quote:

"Thanks for being a killer, asshole. Why would you drive a car that ran over and killed two parents?"

And my entire drivers door was key-scratched to ****, with some of my passengers side scratched too.

Before that I only had skids from the previous owner drifting with the car. Now my car looks like genuine ****...

Who would do this? I didn't kill two people. Any suggestions on what to do?

                  WHAT THE FU-

AAAAAAAAAAAAARGH why are people are so fu**tards

Edit: I'm still foaming in the mouth, I just dont get it. *sigh* There's not much you can do appart from repainting. Meanwhile if your base got gouged, you better grease the panels before rust forms.

Anyone know anyplace that'll do a black respray (one coat) for cheap? I'm so depressed... my car looks like genuine crap now. I'm not usually one for looks, but it looks like I just pulled it from a junkyard, what now with the interior gutted, the offset rim combo, and now scratches ALL over the paint. I found some more too... on my front fenders, and one on my passenger rear.

I can't afford to be respraying my car, and I know it's not cause of where I parked, because I fold in my mirrors, and leave LOTS of adequate space for other drivers to get in and out of their car.

I hope this isn't what other drivers of RHD cars are going through... I would hate to see this happen to anyone.

That sucks. I feel for you on that. Some people are purely retarded... Looks like you just picked a shitty time to buy that car considering what happened a mere couple weeks later.

That being said, if you respray it you could end up with the same problem again. Make sure it's nice and dry and put some nail polish clear coat on it to prevent it from rusting. I'd touch it up with some black too. Although touch-up looks like ****, it looks much better than gouged paint. Or get it wrapped in a matte black (it's like $500) or rattle can the bitch. That way next time you just grab the can from your trunk and touch it up. It's a winter beater right? Treat it like one. One day (hopefully soon) I'm gonna build an old beat up 4x4 and do the same so when the bushes and mud scratch it up I can touch up on the spot haha.

Thought about the flat black too lol, but I've seen some people doing it around here and you can see they layed it uneven. Even if it's spraycan and a flat color you need to be methodical about it. It would look good done right.

Btw, nice tip with the nail polish, never thought of that. I was in an accident in the sentra (old lady hit me...twice) and i had a big spot that was missing paint, i greased it with rust check, it was in november and the panel was still mint when I got the car bodyworked the next may.

I've decided to matte white vinyl wrap the car. Anyone know any shops in Ottawa who can get it done?

                            I considered this as well.

Might not be til mid winter, but come spring, when (and if) I sell the car, should help bring up the value a bit. Moneys a little tight now, what with needing a few new parts for it (rear suspension is capute, and I'm paying 351 monthly on insurance, as well as CRAVING a strut bar for the rear to get rid of the creaking sound of flex now that it's gutted) so I'm forced to wait.

But I will definitely post pics. I think in Matte white or red, it would look absolutely beautiful.

Especially with some nice rims on it.
