Damn man, that's some seriously bad luck. Don't worry about everyone else busting your balls here. You spent the money, so you should be able to do what you feel like when it comes to deciding when to drive the car. Best of luck with it, mano!

Why does everyone rag on CDguy? I've been here since 2005 and I've never seen him being a douchekabob

CDGuy, if you're going the resale route, it might be better to spray it a colour that appeals to more people, making it easier to sell.
You don't like the color? Suggestions? I'm open to anything except bright bayside blue, yellow, bright red, or some other douschebag Z driver color.

Those colours you listed are much easier to sell than something more understated. Your target demographic is a young guy looking for something "JDM-tyte" and flashy.

Hot pink is clearly the answer here.

I think black rose, with some nice black leather seats, and a suede aftermarket wheel, would work well.... maybe a set of replica (I can't afford real ones, I'll be honest) BRIDE Low Max II's might be a good idea too!

"I can start in 2nd gear, and my friend used this all last winter as his winter car. It should be interesting that's for sure! I love it in the rain, she likes to get frisky!"

shoulda taken JZ more seriously and tried that 2nd gear trick in Russel Twshp, eh

Sounds to me like everyone seems to think it's just stupid to drive a RWD car in the winter time, yet how many people drive Mustangs?

As for RHD, how many mailmen deliver mail all day long in mail trucks in the winter??

Plus they're RWD. They may not make 222HP but 222HP is hardly something to brag about.

Sounds like everyone here just "assumes" I'm a bad driver.
A good friend of mine has a RHD fairlady. He drove it from southern Alberta to Whitehorse Yukon. This happened at Christmas, and he took my kid brother with him. Was I scared? Yes. Did they make it there and back with all bodily parts and vehicle parts in one place? Yes. When I was 16, I had a 4 banger stanger ( I grew up in the Yukon) and I never crashed it once. Just use due diligence and be careful. You will be fine.

To be fair, I would prefer to have the ability to steer over the ability to accelerate. If I had two winter tires, I'd put them on the front of my gtst, being able to steer and stop = more important :P

Only on the front wouldn't provide any extra safety. I had chains on the front of my car (which was FWD) and got into an accident because the rear had no traction. It happened when I was braking down a steep hill.
But you are right, in this case front and rear chains would be best.
