  • Texting while driving ...

Here are a few more reality checks ...

I make the drive to Markham once a week to pick up stock for my store and driving around toronto the sheer numbers of people texting while driving is staggering to say the least .

    watch some of these :-

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

I'm doing a Composition project on this subject, and figured I would make a video using stories and information I found through writing this essay. The very ...

and for the racers , what happens when v-tec kicks in :-

Just wow... Those videos are quite moving. I saw the first one during my Emergency Telecommunications course. Rather shocking.

It's surprising just how many people text and drive. Take a look around you while driving through the city and see how many people do it. It's seriously disheartening

Second vid had Porsche girl in it. She didn't die from texting, but rather going 100MPH too fast.

I see ppl texting all the time regardless of the new law or not.

I don't get why people need to text and drive at the same time!!! Are you seriously in that much of a hurry or is the text that important...... If it is then seriously pull over to the side of the road and think about the 20 million other people on the road that you could be affecting if you don't!
Miss driving sooooo bad! Need to get a car on the road ASAP!

well isn't it obvious??..... these people are VERY VERY important and valuable people. Their time is worth billions of dollars.... so it really does outweigh slowing the world down. It's like how you have to do proper security checks around the president. These people are equivalent in importance and value. Exact same situation with people who don't use turn signals. Their energy is SO VALUABLE that lifting up their hand to flip a switch is much much too costly compared to the inconvenience of everybody around them. JEEEZZZ come on people.. gotta respect those vips.

This isn't really a texting story but rather an impaired driving story of mine that I lived through.
I had gone out for a night in Downtown Toronto and I knowing I was driving I had limited myself to two pints of beer over the time span of I think it was 3-4 hours, and had some food, so I was sobre. The thing is tho I went home at a really late time, around 3-4 AM. I was driving along the QEW westbound around Dixie Mall and I guess I dozed off, earlier when I was just leaving Downtown I had ssaid to myself that maybe I should pull into a gas station, stretch a little and get a red bull for the car ride home. I wasn't driving my Skyline thankfully but I did however cross three lanes of traffic from the left lane to the far right and thank god at this stretch of freeway a rumble strip was present and I woke up just before I was about to smash into a gaurd rail!

So whether it be texting, drinking and driving, or you are just plain tired do something about it! Don't text, get a damn bluetooth and talk through that, don't drink and drive, and if you are tired pull over and wake yourself up! After that incident I realized that I could have hit a car, a cop could have seen me and thought I was drunk, or what if there wasn't that rumble strip?

Sadly, I don't speak french well enough to really understand it. Seems like a rather good song from what I could pick up, however
