I can't stand Mac computers. Desktops anyways. The lappy I have some respect for. Not the OS, however. Can't stand how everything is backwards. It's like Nikon and Canon cameras. Everything is reverse. Blech

I was never for Apple products, but I bit the bullet and tried the iPhone.
Yup.. did the same when the 3g hit, i'll never turn back. Absolutely love my new iPhone 4 and have zero regrets in that purchase as well..
What Skym says is a good point. The hardware is meant to work in unison so as to have no drawbacks in seamless transition of processes. Everything really does work that much more flawlessly on a mac and i have no doubts that i'll be turning to one, even though they're seemingly overpriced - what counts is how appropriate they are for the application.. They crash less, which makes making music a dream..
They only reason i haven't turned sooner is because i finally caved this spring and jumped on the new FL Studio.. of course they only make it for PC which is a total pain, but i'm running a dedicated desktop for my music production now, i'll probably get a hold of Logic Pro for MAC and call it a day Maybe even Ableton if i'm feeling dicey..

Mac ftw.. coming from a VERY VERY long time PC supporter..

        Mac laptops > PC laptops
        PC desktop > Mac Desktop

I find MAC ok, as long as your using MAC app software. Once you start using apps made by other companies, can crash the app. So it's a area to note when selecting software for MAC.

Nelsonmxmarc, should look at Deck Link card (if you haven't already), as it can give you options in terms of sound editing for video in sound editing software -

DeckLink are high performance capture cards for Mac, Windows and Linux with support for 12G-SDI and 8K.

Now bite the bullet and buy an android device. It will be even better than the iphone making it kick your BB in the balls then knee it in the face while its down.

What phone are you using? I've been reading up on the HTC Evo 4G. It looks better than the iPhone 4 on paper. Not sure when they'll be publicly available in Canada though. Android is developing really fast..the amount of apps will probably surpass the iPhone's soon. The iPhone is 4 devices, while there are dozens of Android based devices out there. I've never played around with an Android device. Would like to soon. Don't like the home screen though. iOS is pretty organized and clean.

My iPhone was in the shop for around 4 days..I had to use my BB Bold for that period. Oh god. I'll never go back to that s*it. RIM is only starting to catch up to it's competitors with OS6, and the Torch's hardware is already outdated.

I have broken 5 ipods in the past 3 years. 2 were warrantied (Mac has the worst customer service, well for me I guess). I would never pay 1400 for a mac book just for the "keys" and "user friendly" when a pc will do the same without the "flashy" appearance of a mac for 1/3 of the price.

Also, virus? Really? People still get those? I havent had a virus on my laptop (had for 2 years) and I dont run any anyti virus, just some malware programs.

The gf has an iMac, ill admit it looks baller in her room though. lol

My friend has a HTC hero with the android OS. He loves it. His old phone was iphone 3g (Broke). Only downside he says is the limited amount of apps so far.

Limited apps on Android won't be an issue soon. It's developing really quickly. When my iPhone dies I'll consider an Android device..but I love the sophisticated games on the iPhone. Modern Combat, GT Racing, etc. Really high quality stuff.
