  • Steal sealer ??!?!?

so im asking my fellow skyline owners for some help.

I think the head gasket it going/gone on my dd 2002 f-150..not a lot of smoke but a lot of milky stuff in filler cap/hole. considering im in the middle of building my skyline over the winter i am very broke lol looking for a cheap fix.. (if any)
so has anyone used or even heard of this "steal seal" stuff?? in a perfect world this would be ideal. smoke and mirrors?

If you notice the milky look on the oil I would say head gasket, check your anti freeze too, if the level drops.

I get that stuff under the cap of my civic, it's just old deposits and junk I wouldn't worry too much
Come on lotto!!! Daddy needs a whole lotta stuff!

lordco sells a "head gasket fix" for like 20 bucks. i worked there for two years and never had anyone come back and complain about it so you could give it a shot

ummm why dont u just actually diagnose what it is and fix it. If you are doing it yourself it isnt gonna hurt your wallet too bad.

i head gasket on a 02 f-150, you have to pull the engine to get at it

I hear you can get head gasket sealer, just don't plan on any long term results though IMO.

4.6l or 5.4L done lots of those heads due to carbon build up on the valves, causing low compression and misfires, pulled the cylinder heads with the engine in the truck, just the exhaust studs are a pain and the egr pipe cause they are always rotted

just my opinion, sounds like its just moisture collecting inside the valve cover. see it alot at work with ppl who live in town and do short trips and dont let their vehicle run long enough to properly warm up to temp ( bet its like a light colored chocolate milk and somewhat watery when you wipe it with a rag). make sure your cooland level is good and if its not dropping i really wouldnt worry

if memory serves me correct, the pcv valve should be on the right hand valve cover, left side will be the fresh air in from the intake tube. i cant remember if the valve is seperate and can be changed...i think you can but if its like the new ones (04 and up) its part of the valve cover and cannot be serviced
