That kit has a car mounting kit, bike mount, helmet mount. Everything. So jacked for this. For drifting. and snowboarding.

on the topic of being an apprentice, if i moved back to canadia would i have to do anything special as far as certification if i've been working in shops for several years in the states?

If you're an apprentice, chances are you'd have to start over unless you get really lucky and they accept the technical training you did (education) and the hours you have. If you're a Jman, you will not be an approved Jman in Canada unless you have a red seal or find an employer who doesn't know the trades legislation and get paid Jman. To work as a Jman in in a different province then where you were ticketed requires a red seal, otherwise, you need to write the Jman exams for the new province. This applies to all provinces except for Quebec. That is the ONLY place that will not accept a red seal ticket that is not from Quebec. My Alberta red seal can get me working as a Jman anywhere in the world, except for there, which is wild lol.

Anyways, you have technical training or just lots or years in a shop? To move through an apprenticeship in Canada (a certified aprenticeship that is), you need 3 things to move up: Hours, Technical training for the completing year and be past the anniversary date. I have a family member that works for the the government in the trades branch so if you have serious questions, I can ask. Trades nearly rule in some parts of canada due to low supply and high demand.

Franc is right your schooling cannot transfer to Canada. It is not recognized here what so ever.

Franc you did mention the red seal is approved anywhere in the world, but that isnt true at least not for mechanics. We cannot actually work in the U.S. surprisingly and there is other countries on that list. The Red Seal is among the highest regarded trainings in the world and they are working towards changing that but as of December 15th when i wrote my appentice exam the ruling had not changed
