What is the name of this style of modification? I think that some of these cars look pretty cool. Not saying that I would do it to my car, but it's kind of like traveling back to the late 70's early 80's and designing spaceships for the year 2000!

Are some of you new to japanese car subcultures? I still remember videos from 10 years ago about guys who would install shift -poles-, nearly scraping their knuckles on the ceiling while shifting.
