This thread is what I needed for a kick in the pants. I was recently let go from my job (for reasons I don't want to get into, but we'll just say "personality clash"), and I was lost as to what I was going to do. Then I read this and decided enough was enough, I have always been interested in real estate and after humming and hawing for a few years and having people tell me I'm too young and won't make it, I said **** it I decided to go for it. I contacted a few local brokers. I just heard back from one who is interested in meeting me and I just signed up to the course at UBC to get my license.

No more mediocrity. Time to pull up my socks and get to work.

Jz I truly appreciate this thread. I think there is truth in all that is said there but the most in this one:

People were created to be loved,
Things were created to be used,
The reason why the world is in chaos,
Is because things are being loved,
And people are being used.

This is most true in my books. Any business I have ever worked for has never gave 2 shiits what happened to me and never acknowledges my hard work. It is no longer an achievement now that it's consistent it's more of an expectation.

I have a love for my car only because it is the only thing that brings happiness, but others who surround me love meanless things.

The main reason cars will always be my passion is for one reason... I could be having the worst day and get a part in the mail whether it be a shift knob or a set of seatsc installing it in the car makes me feel like a million dollars. No one can change that!
