    Stroke??? -

Serene Branson, a young and seemingly healthy CBS reporter, appeared to suffer a stroke on live TV when she suddenly started jumbling her words and speaking incomprehensibly.

    Wow, hope she is ok.

Just seems strange that someone would suddenly start to do that. Unless they were just joking.

This is what happens when you try to fit an 86mm stroke crank in an rb20. Stuff fouls on other stuff.

If you look at her face, you see half of her mouth goes kind of limp. It deffs doesn't look like a full on stroke, but I agree with the seizure bit.

Man, that's my worst nightmare. Not the stroke itself but just being conscious that something is going very wrong with your brain and you may lose your humanity and everything you cherish, took for granted.

I wouldn't say it was a full blown stroke though, it must of been a hard night for her. I hate american news, they try to put the worst spin and milk everything. Maybe she was low on some metallic minerals for christ sakes, who knows.

God people are dumb. One of the videos had a doctor telling us that water waters down blood and has been proved to prevent strokes. No way. I think we should switch iodine in table salt for a pinch of common sense.

I watch doctor shows and I agree it's quite possibly some kind of stroke but you never know I guess. Actually, last week my wife's grandfather (83) was acting pretty weird but not as out there with speech but really obvious that something was up. 3 days later he was coming out of an operation for brain anurism (spellcheck lol). His second one. All good again.

From what I understand from watching TV news, had a bad migraine before she started speaking. Supposedly if bad enough it can affect speech. Her mother said she had the exact same problem and was due to a bad migraine.

                  Article about the migraine -

                    ^^

Well that's the end of the story, I knew it just had to be something benign. Good find man!

Just to add to the hypochondria, yesterday I was finally resting and listening to music after a long week, but I got so tired that I couldn't even THINK words right, I honestly felt like the top right half of my brain would just shut down everytime I tried to think of phonetically spelling a word. It was kind of scary to be honest. One of the words was "Nemo".

I did my dishes and went straight to bed.

My best friend had a brain seizure last year - He's ok, but he said he was playing chess and he looked off to the side and then he couldn't stop looking off to the side and started to panic because he couldn't alert anyone to help him. He blacked out and had to get some needle in his spine to check brain fluids. They found out it was a brain parasite and he had to go on medication for 6 months to make sure it didn't grow.

I don't know if any of you have had sleep paralysis or not, but when I got that last year I had the same effect - You know you want to do something and it's making sense in your head, but no matter how hard you try to coordinate your muscles you just can't. It's really ****** up and scary.

I've had that often when I used to sleep in my truck, window down and the ignition off. when the wind starter fluttering in and out, I'd get that "gotta wake up feel" to close the window but couldn't lol. Freaked me out every time. Now I leave the truck running with the window open lol.

Sleeping in the cold is the worst thing you could do to your CNS, aside from using narcotics.

Many people can have strokes or permanent/temporary paralysis from it.
