When a parts car isn't a parts car

Found a 1980 320i coupe on Kijiji and was going to pirate the 5 speed out of it for the '72 project but the car is too sweet to hack ( sh!t ) . Runs smooth, LSD, BBS basket weaves, sunroof and a perfect interior with minimal rust .

Needed battery and tires ( got both for $120 ! ) and a brake line and fuel line fix but thats it ! I wish the other projects were this easy.....

I was thinking of flipping it but after driving it with the fifth gear I'm really reluctant to lose a perfect shifting tranny. They are $400 used
but there is a guy looking to transplant a E36 drivetrain into it so hopefully I'll end up with the parts I need and my money back ! Parting this out would bring some decent cash with the recaros and the LSD and even the little BBS rims. We'll see how it plays out. Fun little beater, though !
