You'll feel better in a week, you'll see results in about 2-3 weeks depending on your body and you can eat whatever you like as long as you can keep carbs down... Workout programs are a reasonable solution for those with no gym access, but if you want real results you need to go to a gym or have similar equipment available. Have a few really awesome workout plans I can share with you if you decide to go the gym route
    +1.

If you need direction look up any basic workout routine. It's easier to build the kind of workout you want by yourself. Look up exercises for the area of the body you want and build your routine. Look up basic fitness information and you just saved yourself the time/money of having to use P90X.

On P90X itself: I've never done it personally but I have a couple friends who did. They got great results from it but nothing superior or better than if they had just had a proper gym routine.

EDIT: as the saying goes 'Your body is made in the kitchen not the gym.'

The diet fundamentals are what drive P90X. Look up basic nutrition for what you want (gaining or cutting) and go from there.

Tony: When I was playing speedball, it was more local here in London. Had a few offers to play on some CXBL teams, but I lost my job around the same time, so I couldn't afford it. Mainly liked my woodsball though. Was part of the number one scenario team in the world, and at one point was all over Canada and the US every weekend for games. Ahhh, what a good time. I miss it

Thanks for the advice guys! I'm definitely looking at changing up my diet a bit to be slightly healthier than it already is. Definitely looking into some of the things you've mentioned!

Chicken (when the price is right)
        Moderation on red meats
        Milk/water
        Greens
You can make good recipes whit the internet...
If you exercise regurlaly, you can eat less strictly I find

If you eat more salt in the morning (bacon, toast etc.) just eat less in the day...

If you know you're having a big steak diner... Don't egg yolks or other hi cholesterol food. It's all in moderation. (Daily value % helps alot.)
Hell, I eat McDonals meaby one every 2 weeks...(A lil subway here and there) Moderation!!!!
Even too much sex is bad!! lol

Also. Try diluting fruit juice buy 50%!! (Ex. fruitopia --> you wont taste de difference)

Orange juice and Eau Perrier is also good

I have been doing P90X on and off but it has been quite effective for me, especially when I followed the diet. I lost 20 lbs while getting much more muscular in about 2 dedicated months. I felt it worked for me but if you dont maintain a low carb/healthy diet you can lose quite a bit of your gains within a couple of months. I am back on it now and seeing some major muscle gains again but I havent been able to follow the diet as well as I should so I am not losing as much fat as I would like to. As was mentioned above a body is made in the kitchen so be ruthless with your portion control and you should do well.

The reason I have been on and off is because I dont have much free time, to be honest Hozer there is no way I would have time to go to a gym and work out for 1.5 to 2 hours a day.

If you are skinny then try some protein shakes to help you build muscle. Also Endurox R4 helps in recovery quite a bit as you will use several of the same muscle groups in back to back workouts.

P90X, I did the program last year, really liked it. It's pretty low impact on the scale of things, but a great start if your not working out regularly. Its a good guideline for healthy living IMO. Has a great food plan and gets you into the routine of working out 6 days a week.. Once I completed the program, I had a much better understanding of what I was getting nutrition wise and jus been keeping up at the gym.
I say give it a try, if your into downloading, you can find it online.

"Lose It" is a good (and I think free) calorie tracking app for the iPhone, you will be amazed how quicky calories add up in a day and how few you burn in a workout.

P90X is different. It is designed for people who want to get in shape but do not have any gym experience. I don't know how many times I see people doing workouts wrong to the point where they can hurt themselves. It's just not realistic to say "go to the gym 3 on 1 off and one hour of cardio a day" for most people. They will get to the gym and look at all the machines and not know what to do. P90X has been around for a while now with a lot of success. I used it for one summer because I didn't want to spend money on going to the gym and I liked it.

The key is training your body to have a good metabolism and always be burning calories. You don't just burn when you're at the gym.

Constantly eating, 5-6 small meals a day and something before you sleep that way your body is working to break down food all day.

Yes, the key is 5-6 small meals a day. Eat meat, drink lots of water, and no fast food. Even if you just do that, cutting all the bad foods from your diet and eating more frequent but smaller and healthier meals you will notice a change without working out.

Skipping breakfast (like a lot of people do) then having a supersize big mac meal for lunch and eating till you're stuffed and a 20oz steak with potatoes for dinner is not the way to eat healthy.

You can't tell me that you can eat mcdonalds twice a day but still "go to the gym" and be healthy? That's a load of crap.
