Yes, I liked Jim Henson's work.

Also most of these cartoons -

Here is a huge collection of those cartoons we watched as kids- some of which we quickly changed the channel and others we watched ever so faithfully every S...

      Also Tintin, Dr Suess, etc.

Seriously wtf? None of you that just posted are Gen X. Generation X (aka Baby Boomers) were born betwen 1964 and the 70s, or no later than 1982.

Rename this thread to "Gen Y nostalgia" if you want to save some face.
Well I'll be damned. All those years not knowing...ALL THOSE YEARS WERE LIES!

I can't change the main title though, is there any way of doing it?

Totally. This thread brings back memories.

Now all the kids have these days are shitty shows like Hannah Montanna and the wizzzzards of waverly place.

            I feel sorry for them.

exosquad, GI JOE and of course the always epic Ren and Stimpy... oh how it sucks that spongebob is what replaced ren and stimpy in terms of similar type of cartoon

i was born in 1980 so im a gen-x'r so i approve of this thread

Hey, they're actually making a Tin Tin movie, IIRC! That should be promising. The show was always awesome!

My favorite tv show when I grew up was Married with Children.
And as for cartoons, I watched TinTin, Looney Tunes, Goldorak, inspector gadget, Tom an Jerry, smurfs, Lucky Luke and Popeye the sailorman. (I know most of these cartoons are much older, but they aired a lot on T. V when I was young!)

No one mentioned the carebears yet? :-)

                    My cars:

                      TV
I liked most of the previously mentioned, but I watched alot of more "mature" shows aswell. X-Files, Seinfeld, Home improvement, Friends, Fresh prince, Family matters, Simpsons, Saved by the bell.

                      ABC's TGIF line up's
Xena, Hercules, StarTrek's, Frasier, Mr. Bean, He-Man were decent.

Pinky and the brain & The Tick FTW
I heard they might be making a Reboot movie.
                      T-M-N-T was my fav though

                      Style

Every other kid had Ross' from "Friends" caesar cut, and wore over sized low cut black leather boots.

                      ----------------------------------------
                      Movies
Forest Gump, Arnie movies, Jurassic Park, Toy Story, Dumb & Dumber, Ace Ventura
