Buying used corolla/yaris

need a cheap DD for a family member ... problem is im having a tough time lookingfor the right corolla/yaris... would a 2010 Corolla for around 13 grand and have 50k kms be a good deal?, either they are rentals or mostly highway driven? im not sure what to really look for in these newer yota's

advice?

why not get a $10k brand new hyndai accent? comes with warranty and less than 100 kms

id probably buy a new hyundai before I'd buy a used toyota for the same price. They're a LOT better than they were even 5 years ago.

I have a 08 Yaris... well my family does I steal it once in a while. It's a great car. A real fuel miser and it's got more than enough power for a DD. Also pretty quiet if you get better tires than OEM. Road noise sucked until we put new tires on it, not it's basically non-existent.

I rented a Yaris back in '08 when I visiting family in the lower mainland. I thought it was a box on wheels....very small to be a family car. Id go for a true sedan if you want to be comfortable. The Korean auto makers have come a long way and offer some of the best warranties out there.

kia's are too high on insurance from what i've heard.. anyone else own a yaris? im heavily leaning towards that black one...

another good deal :O, i actually drove the hatchback one time .... was pretty impressed how easy it was to drive.. and how much room it had inside.
