Get a 93-97 mazda mx6 I have one as my winter/DD. Mine has the 4cyl but if i could do it again id get the v6 for a little more grunt. Its cheap to drive pretty much problem free and it would go anywhere with a good set of tires on it. I drove it to the rig when i worked there and could get through leases that others where getting 4x4's stuck in. Its never gotten stuck anywhere it just goes whereever you want it to.1994 R33 GTS25-T

sorry dude mazda mx6 = no bueno and if its a v6 once again fuel economy sucks. you really cant beat a 1.5 or 1.6 litre for fuel economy lol. if i was driving 45 min each way every day fuel economy would be on the top of my list.1991 Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R: 710whp 521 ft/lbs 27.5psi 11.8 @126mph low boost

If you want a full size reliable, AWD vehicle, go for a Subaru Legacy (earlier than 2009 for your price range). Its a full size sedan, has tons of room and standard features.
I was looking to buy one when my DD was starting to choke a few weeks ago, but it was only a sensor issue and I didn't, but its next on the list.
