I haven't seen the new episodes yet due to being in Montreal. Can I come watch at your house tomorrow? Top gear uk will always be the best, the others are just copycats. Do you work tomorrow afternoon?

I've seen the first two episodes. The first one was very good, and the second was good, but not as good as the first. My favourite segment so far has to be the Jaguar E-Type tribute that Clarkson did in the first episode, although my favourite car so far was the South African Marauder SUV/Military vehicle.

I think it's better than the American Top Gear simply because they've been at it much longer. If you watch some of the early UK Top Gear episodes you will find the same awkwardness between the presenters that you find in the current American series. By now Jeremy, Richard, and James have gotten to know each other really well and they can easily play off each other's traits.

Uk over US hands down. US seems like actors reading from a script, UK is scripted but they have their individual banter thrown in. I agree with CelicaKidd_205 tho, their first few seasons of UK are slow and unwitty. James only appears in the 3rd season but you can already see in Season 3 they are starting to get their groove in.

Favorite segment so far has to be the Marauder but I'm waiting for one of the challenges to pop up where they get a select amount of cash and have to buy a specific car. Picking the hot hatches and driving around Italy just didn't cut it. Nothing broke down, no one was left behind, no car that everyone hates following them knowing they may have to drive a Reliant Robin, VW Bug or Morris Marina. I've only seen Clarkson mend something himself knowing that he had to drive a Morris Marnia, albeit he fixed it with a hammer, but he mended something!

Their challenge episodes are the ones I look forward to but the episodes where they tour another country are my favorite. Iraq / Middle east episode to kick off Season 16, the Polar Ice expedition, trip across Africa, motorcycle trip in Vietnam and the trip across Bolivia rank in my top 5 of all time.

I've also been following the first few seasons of Top Gear Australia and they are in the same boat as the US. Presenters can't ad lib, they are very dry and scripted. However the producers are canning and replacing presenters, there is only 1 presenter in season 3 that was there from the start. Lets hope Top Gear US follows suit and replaces everyone but Tanner Foust, at least he can drive.

i think the UK top gear is becoming really scripted and kind of washed out. I watched an older episode the other day from like 2003 or 2004 and they actually had 3 car reviews on it. as much as i do like the fun stuff, i really liked the way they did car reviews. Reviews like that murauder things plz.

I am looking forward to that new Car show coming on speed later in july. It looks like the same sort of thing as Top Gear UK without trying to BE top gear UK

either way ill watch both top gear US UK AUS because they beat the hell out of those "swap, completely rebuilt dyno and drive without frustration in 30 mins" shows like muscle car and xtreme4x4

            UK, best by far.

Pretty much the same reason already talked about. The show just feel so natural, and
some of the scenery they have took over the years is just jack dropping.

BTW anyone seen the Russian version lol

I liked the hot hatch episode from this week especially when they went on the Monaco track. Nice quality and I can see why it's only 6 episodes.

Seen 'em all so far. Loving every minute of every episode. UK is just better. I've noticed that with pretty much ever British show that's converted to the US. Hollywood finds a way to make it scripted, cheesy, and... well, Hollywood-ish.

Favourite car so far is definitely the Marauder. I want one for my AK's :P

They are soo sarcastic, thats what makes the show funny, and it's nice to watch 3 freinds having a genuine good time on tv.

My favorite episodes hands down are when they travel accross foreign countries by some mode of transportation. Vietnam was probably my favorite episode to date of all the seasons.

I'm in the process of downloading the first 2 episodes...so stoked! And I would have to agree with pretty much everything thats been said so far and especially with Tony, Vietnam episode was awesome, so much so I actually went to Vietnam shortly after that episode came out when I was 18

This. I find that more and more non-car guys are into it. Like the kind of ppl that don't believe me when our 20 year old cars like GTRs can be proper built to beat modern supercars.

I just find it odd, I like it for the cars and the (laughable) engineering segments, they like it for the oooh-aaah and the lulz. All abord the trend-train!

I've been enjoying it as usual! I think Top Gear and Fifth Gear went hand in hand, TG, for the entertainment and FG, for the information and car content! Too bad it was canned!

Fifth Gear started back up again, they are currently in their 19th season and episode 8 aired end of June. The current presenters are Tiff Needell, Vicki Butler-Henderson, Jason Plato, Jonny Smith. Ben Collins aka the 2nd white stig came on in Season 18 but did not return for the current season.

The thing I love about TG UK is that they are not even remotely afraid to call a car that they think is sh1t.....well.....sh1t. No-one is imune, they even rag on the Car and Driver's beloved BMW relentlessly if something is crap with it. Even Tesla wants to sue them over the less than glowing story that they did on their supercar.

The US shows are really like a fvcking info-mertial and make everything seem like it's the best thing ever. Thankfully the TG US isn't quite wraping their lips around manufacturers dongs but they do need some improvement. This I think will come in time......if they last.

Top Gear US just came on the History channel. I watched a minute and a half, got sick of it, and walked away. Someone please take it off the air
