At least this will target Harley's Rarely do I see Harley's pulled over by cops considering some of them are louder than a f16 on takeoff

They are probably aiming for a small % of the people to pay it
Just like city parking people going onto private property and ticketing.
The target % can't be that high and I'm sure the system will pay for itself in the first year

I dont see how this is a grey area at all? If your car is louder than "X"dB you've broken the law and will get a ticket. Same goes with speeding cameras... It's not a cash grab, it's a cash handing over by people that choose to speed. I've never gotten a speed camera ticket and thought someone was to blame other than myself; I could have kept my $200 if I had decided that arriving at my destination 5min early was not important.

I personaly love this box idea... 0 need for your street car to exceed 96dB

Grey area, is that most some provinces don't have a decibel limit.

                How this 'system' is flawed.

If you know where the cameras are located, and some **** drives by the camera, bust out an air-horn and honk away. Fail.

                  ^ hahahaha brilliant.

But yeah most provinces don't have dB limits that's why it's grey (I don't know about Alberta legislation though).

In Quebec, the SAAQ will inspect and pass safety on your vehicle almost even with a straight pipe, since they don't check dB limits (as long as you have the cat, etc). Then you can drive out the parking lot and a police can ticket you because the law is so vague.
