No one enjoys it much anymore so people either get kicked off on purpose like tricky or just don't come on like Oakville. This has been a common thing the past while.
Funny thing is I always thought I would get a 34 but now I'm thinking I won't botherMiss driving sooooo bad! Need to get a car on the road ASAP!

Okay well this is not so obvious to me since compared to most of you, I'm still a newb (haven't been on this site even a year) but I keep hearin the whole "this forum isn't what it used to be" speech...can someone explain what made this forum more enjoyable before?1989 R32 GTS-t (Sold)

Comparing GTRC to the Subaru community (a very enthusiastic bunch), I think the problem is this:
- Small community = smaller variety of cars and people;
- Lack of technical experts to post informative threads on tuning, DIYs, etc;
- General lack of "out of the box" thinking when modifying their car;
- Experienced members getting out of the Skyline scene and moving on (whereas subie guys are in 4 lyfe);
- Decline of heavy hitters in the tuning community that are involved with GTRC;
- Minimal sponsor support, and lack of a constant flow of new sponsors;
- Younger guys getting into poor condition Skylines as they become cheaper;
- Setup of the forum could be improved, i.e. adding more discussion categories like "automotive rumors and news", "parts and dealers reviews". Better division of technical threads could be beneficial too, e.g. GTR Tech > Maintenance/Turbocharging/Interior/Exterior/Suspension/Powertrain/Tuning;
Most importantly though, members need to become more involved. It seems like most people in the club are just here to take, and don't contribute back to the club. I'm also guilty of this, but I'm working on it

Lets invite and embrace our R35 brothers a little more, perhaps repost very important threads/DIY's for them from various R35 forums all over the world, give them a place. This could bring more attention to the older gens and have more "discussion" posts97' R33 GT-R Vspec
