Haha it's so true. I think they are like that because muscle cars were the big thing back then. And for the most part, the faster ones were louder. Same with any vehicle if you think about it, especially a turbo because you want your piping as big as possible to get the exhaust out as quick as possible. Pretty simple theory that's been used on most cars
