Well if they just don't have the registration papers they can go into any autoplan brokerage pay $18 and get the registration re-printed.

If the car is an import from the US or out of province and its never been registered in BC..then thats a different story. If its an out of province vehicle youd have to get a provincial inspection on it before registering it and insuring it in BC. If the vehicle is from the US then it will need all the proper paper work which I assume as a dealership they would have -- but also you would need to get a federal and provincial inspection, just like a japanese import.

In BC no registation means the car is either a Theft recovering that ICBC paid out and then sold as parts only..

Or the paperwork is lost.. however $20 to ICBC can get replacment paperwork..

Or a number of shaddy things.. Its TyeeImports.. they live in the grey area world..

Guess i misunderstood your meaning of grey area. I'm from the island too thats where I got my gtr. Cleanest gtr to come into tyee so he said.

Unlikely that it's stolen but it would be easy to check. Give the poilce the vin number.

More likely it's an insurance writeoff/flood damaged/Shady import or something.

Talking to them directly would likely yeild a better result than asking on the forum
