Not quite, with Diablo2 you could atleast set your own skill points and customize your skill tree. Now its too noob friendly and not very diverse.

Turn on elective mode and you can use whatever skills you like... Still not the same, but wayyy more diversity

Yes, elective mode is a must, as soon as I found that everything changed. It is surprising that has to be enabled and not on by default.

I agree Frankiman, Hell mode is rough. As a wizard I cant take melee damage worth **** and its alot of kitting for me each boss. 4 player hell mode is rather fun tho. With a diverse class set you can roll over anything. I give props to the european group that downed Hell mode hardcore Diablo.
