How to fix the NHL - Plan2Profit Business Consulting

Imo removing a player from the ice is bogus. Yes 4 on 4 is way faster more exciting, but to me it changes the game completely. For me part of watching hockey is how the play develops, 4 on 4 would just be basically grab the puck and go end to end rush not to much work to get that puck control. Just my 2 cents

The hockey fan in me agrees with you as I also like to watch the play unfold.
The business side of me agrees that something drastic is needed. Sports is a business after all and with the lockout, the NHL is going to lose a lot this year, especially in the US market. Quickening the pace of the game is based on this slow market suggestion.

problem with changing the game is that ALL THE PREVIOUS records will be useless... and this suck badly.

with playing fairly competitive hockey for 15 of the 20 years ive been on this planet, I can say that dropping down to 4 on 4 would be brutal for the game. I have played in many summer leagues that ran in 3on3 or 4on4 formats due to lack of kids etc, it is essentially a game of road hockey. end to end rush after end to end rush, zero pressure, so much open ice.
          Victory is on the horizon..

Might just be me but I know for myself that if It goes to 4 on 4 Ill just say home and watch hockey rather then forking over the already high priced Tickets. End of the day it is a business but I can only see the switch hurting ticket sales.

i can't really see how 4 on 4 will help with business. :/ To me your roster would shrink so sure there is more money now due to less players in the league but then to me ticket prices should go down, seeing it will be faster and you wont be there for 2.5 hours or so. This resulting in a lose of revenue so won't that balance out and put us in this same scenario? Someone please correct me if im wrong. And like Cobra said all the records can go bye bye and who the hell wants that lol One last point, Would they cut the number of games 4 on 4? Faster pace more skating more fatigue, and this is for 84 games.
