They told me car was going to be 3 weeks and it ended up taking 4 months. I spoke to another guy and he said the same thing happened when he got an rx7. Heard of alot of cars breaking down or being damaged from there too, I would say play it safe.

when tyee imports to bc do they do all the proper stuff? my buddy is looking at gtr's and was wondering if tyee gets that bc registered vin rivited to the door jam??- Adam

Dude, that's old skool, they haven't done that in BC for years now. All my JDMs have used the JDM vin. Importing comes in at around $2200 all in for export fees, broker fee, shipping and import CBSA BS. The CDN dollar is kinda tanking against the US so the shipping fees are going up a bit but, the Yen is pretty even to our penny now so auction prices are almost a direct amount (200,000 yen to $2000). BC replacment VIN's arent required anymore.
the only time you would get one now is if your are un-educated in the process.
Tyee gets all the inspections done i would assume..
you could just call them..

There's lots of well maintained skylines out there forsale. Tyee just imports mid grade stuff, got a gtr off them a few years back. Once he gets the full amount for the car he's pretty useless my turbos went within three months and he didn't help me find new one or anything.Comment
