Traveling to Vancouver

Hey Vancouverites
I'm currently doing coop at a big company in my area and they just told me they are sending me to Vancouver to do some work. I can't imagine the work will take the entire time and can only assume I'll have some spare time on my hands in the evenings. Is there anything I could easily go and check out? Might update this a little more as I get hotel information and such so location is a little more narrowed down. I assume saying you're going to Vancouver is still very broad :P

the are you going to be like Down town or out in the Valley..

the GVRD is a large area..

but everything is within an hour and a bit drive..

We'll of course the first thing I do upon arriving is
Lose my wallet at the airport. Heading back to get it now then going to a suspension brodge. Any other ideas are welcome
