Ya, see I live like 40 mins from DT Van right now. So I figured it would be the same out there. Unless I wanted to live in a condo or something, it's unpractical.

I'm not interested in buying anything right now. I would want to move out there first, see if I like it and want to plant some roots before purchasing something.

I would also need to find a job that pays as well if not better than what I make now. I'm thinking of applying to some higher end car dealerships in the area.

You can always do what you're doing now and work for BMW lol. There a whole mess of high-end dealerships in Oakville, consisting of BMW/Mini/Motorrad, Jaguar, Land Rover, Merc, as well as your Lexus/Infiniti getups. All within 5 minutes of eachother. I am at a BMW dealer in the city of Ajax (half hour EAST of Toronto) just about daily, they run a tight ship and its a great bunch there.

There's a Lambo/Ducati dealership in D/T TO on... Front St, I believe? It's RIGHT down the street from the CN Tower. They have a shop there too. Pretty nice place. There's some Ferrari/Maserati dealerships around somewhere too. Drove past one, can't remember where the hell it was...

I'm a snowboarder, but I'm MORE of a car guy . And I'm bored of BC. I can always take a few vacations in the winter out to Whistler to tame my craving for snow.

There are many luxury dealerships in every community in the GTA so your options are pretty wide-open there. If you are talking elite dealerships (Ferrari, Maserati, etc.) you will need to have an exceptional resume to seperate you from the thousands of others who apply for those few positions. I have no idea what kind of experience you have.

There are also plenty of sales jobs that can pay well beyond automotive, basically anything expensive. If you have an eye for style and clothing Harry Rosen sales reps can make a ton of money from what I have heard, plus you get a sweet discount on amazing clothing. Also most shops on Bloor St or in Yorkville should pay very well and get a high volume of sales.

Ya, punch me in the mouth and then I'll drop your sorry ass.

I don't have exp in high end car sales, not really what I'm looking for either.

I'm looking around online right now, there is actually quite a bit out there.

I'm in Whitby and like it... Durham Regional Police are pretty laid back unless you have a reputation with them.
I'll end up in Courtice/Bowmanville in a years time though.. and would recommend you look at that.
20 mins from Mosport, hour and change from Shannonville.
Probably a very reasonably priced rental market. Small town with decent ammenities... close enough to Toronto that it doesn't suck (40 min drive without traffic).

Now you'll have to commute to anywhere worth working... since it's one of those "let's build thousands of houses without expanding our employment infrastructure" growing towns. Plenty of dealerships within 10-15 min drive though. Pretty much everything shy of the higher end sister companies (Acura, Infiniti, Lexus) is in Durham region. BMW in Pickering, Mercedes in Whitby for higher end ones.

                      Just a thought.
                      Race. Win. Live.

I just sent an application into Budd's BMW in Oakville. We'll see how that goes. I work at the 3rd top BMW Motorrad dealer in Canada right now (out of 28) , so the reference/experience is there and I have a good track record, let's just see if they are hiring.

I may also send one into Moto Internationale in Montreal, but considering my French is not exactly up to par, I doubt that will go anywhere.

Very nice, Im a 3 minute drive from Budd's and its a beautiful dealer. If Budd's isnt hiring, shoot an application to Endras BMW (formerly Durham BMW) in Ajax. Thats where Justin is describing above.

So Budds was the one you were talking about? IIRC they are at the top of the list as well for dealer volume.

There is also Open Road and Toronto BMW. But from everything I've heard, Budds is better. Hrm... that's a good slogan! They should hire me just for that.

I just want to make sure the places I'm looking at actually sell a fair amount of product.

My dad's business partner owns Endras BMW, thats the one im at daily. From what I know, Endras, Budd's and Downtown are 3 of the busiest in the area. Budd's is a very big dealer, but I dont think anything compares to the size of Endras. In terms of volume, product, and staff.

Id put my money on Budd's or Endras. so you have an option for where you would like to reside lol, east end caters to Endras and west end to Budd's.
