Wasnt sure where to post this, but anyone know a place in ontario that does a good HID headlight setup? Preferrably around the GTR and an average cost?

You can just get a Kit and install it yourself (I got some cheap 100 dollar kit for my 240sx and it has been 2 years and still works perfect). It is very easy. All you gotta do is to remove the factory bulbs and replace with the HID bulb. And just plug all the wires and ballast in between the HID bulb and stock light harness. Otherwise most of the speedshops will do it for probably around 50 bux for labour. It does not take a Skyline expert to get it done.10 Infiniti FX35

My personal opinion, but don't put HID bulbs into a regular projector housing. You will actually get less long-distance lighting at night and you blind everyone else. Get a proper projector housing if you want to put HID's in. For examply my buddy wanted HID's in his E36 M3, so took out the halogen housings and grafted in Acurca TSX projecters, and put in an HID kit with ballst and lights. Lots more light at night and no blinding.1995 R33 GTR Vspec - Sold

I have a PIAA kit in my car, and while it's better than the factory bulbs. phastwon has a good point though, there are lots of people in the GTA that do really nice HID retrofits, and the beams will be really nice in terms of cutoff and visibility, and they usually use Philips bulbs which are the best of the best. Cost is not too much either, and you'll have an awesome looking headlight.RightDrive Inc. Parts Manager

Doing Custom retrofits are quite expensive tho. Usually cost at least 500+ dollars to get it done. Also you gotta find someone who really know what they are doing so it does not leak water. So, It all comes down to how much budget do you have to spend on your HID. You just want to save some money just get the kit and DIY. Or If you want to go balls out. You can pay $$$ to get it done.10 Infiniti FX35

Personally, in my case, PIAA HID kits cost $600-$800 in Japan, I probably would have been better off to spend the $500 on a proper HID retrofit. Like you said, it all depends on budget though.RightDrive Inc. Parts Manager

Daryl: I dont think you need any retrofit since you are in RHD country. 500bux probably just the ballpark figure... Probably end up cost more...
PIAA is top of the line... Too bad I dont have that kind of budget for HID light.
btw, did u see my PM regarding to the clutch?10 Infiniti FX35

I have a 92 GTR with the projectors, and when I pulled out the factory light bulb it had a h4 harness but then had a H1 bulb? It looks to be some kind of adapter. What kind bulb type would I order for mine? Also when I look inside the projector it has the shape of a H1 light bulb, So nothing else will fit in there.Heart rate 160, I'm goin 260, RB26 run me past you in a jiffy
