I'm pretty sure in Ontario it's super gay and you have to insure the vehicle to even get a 10-day permit. I had to go home and insure the vehicle and drive back to woodstock last spring when I bought my truck.
Dang! You got shocks, pegs... Lucky! You ever take it off any sweet jumps?

Ryan, you'll need 'er insured to get the temp tag. Which is hilariously fun to do. Once you take care of that, then you should be able to drive 'er. Just need to pick up the plates and bring them out with you with the sticker.

Lend me your GTS. You can borrow my truck and flatbed it back! :-)

You'll need a safety to get a "fit" ontario ownership before you can get a trip permit.

I realize this is a longshot but will BC provide you a 10 day temp permit since the vehicle is there and could be safetied if required or do you have to be a resident?

Maybe you should ask the mods to move this thread to gereral skyline discussion so that the non-Ontarians will see it and chime in.

when you get the car in BC you just go to the local ICBC office to get a 10 day permit..the permit is the insurance AND the 10 day pass..

the insurance companys in BC are linked to the motor vehicle offices so it's pretty much a no brainer. when you get home to ontario you can still drive the car untill your permit expires. make sure you have your mechanical fitness done before you try to get your plates..as for insurance...just call canada brokerlink..i'm insured with them..

i only this cause i did the trip 2 years ago from surrey to sudbury when i bought my skyline..its pretty straight forward..as long as you keep all your paperwork in order!

just curious, how much hassle or how was the price of your insurance quote with brokerlink? currently the only insurance company that will insure me is Nordic (facility) and its crazy expensive. looking to find a cheaper company and the only other one ive found wont insure me right now cuz of 2 tickets, this time next year will be 3 yrs and off my file so i was planning on switching next year but if i can sooner all the better for me lol

This isnt as straight forward as you might think..
the Rules in BC have changed a lot since 2 years ago..

you can get a temp permit for BC, but its only good in BC.. once you cross into Alberta.. your hooked..

Also they only give 3 days max now..
