  • Speeding ticket....

So, last night i got my first ever speeding ticket.... I had just left work and was doing 85/kmh in a 70. I was on my way to the hospital which is why i was speeding a little. Is it worth fighting the ticket since i think i had a good reason for going a little over? Or would it be a waste of time and i should just pay it? Thanks for any input.

P.s. i was driving my KIA not my skyline.

regardless of the situation you were speeding. atleast that is how the cop will approach it if you do dispute.

Well so far i've opted for the "early resolution" option, just to go in and talk to them about it, see how that goes before i waste my time on a trial n **** :/

just pay it , you wont get demerit points for it , pay it and forget about it chalk it up to experience.

There is no point fighting it , there is no excuse for speeding in the eyes of the law. Only way to get off is to fight it and hope the officer doesn't show up to court. If he shows what are you going to say ?

Not to promote speeding but my family friend is a lawyer and he's dropped two speeding tickets for me (both 15 over) by proving in court that the officer didn't follow procedure before using his radar that shift. Apparently calibration of the device and maintenance schedules were requested and the officer failed to provide both.

Shoot me a pm and I'll give you his number. May be worth a shot.

It's only a 50$ ticket so not really wanting to pay for a lawyer just for that lol

It's not the $50 bucks you'll regret later, it's the moving violation.
