  • RB26 Build shop

So, i was planning on taking this winter to rebuild my RB26. However, work thought it would be awesome to put me on 15 hour days 6 days a week for the next 8-9 months so now i wont have the time to get it done

I really want the car ready for next summer so can anyone recommend a good place to have one built? I'm looking for a place that has experience and knowledge of the engines and wont charge an arm and a leg lol.

I only know a few guys that are great with RBs. Pur auto, RS tuning, and Zee's (Lord_GTR) new shop Boost Theory in mississauga. its best bro! dont know about pricing, but I know youll get a great build.

i got quoted 4k to fully build my rb25 and this includes the bigger 87m pistons with N1 everything. Its not "an arm and a leg" at every shop. You just gotta go and talk to them like a normal knowledgable human being.

Labour wise shops go by an hourly rate, but for large jobs they will probably give you a discounted rate.

One of the largest portions of your cost will be what parts you choose. You could choose pistons for $900 a set, or $2000 a set. You could choose to use the standard oil pump, or a Tomei pump, the costs vary widely.
It's not that the shop will charge you an arm and a leg, it's about the choices you make in terms of parts when building your car.
