  • Transporting from BC to Ontario

    Hey everyone,

I could very well be buying my first GTR this month. However I'm looking for suggestions/guidance on how to transport a car that is in BC to Ottawa (besides the few days driving lol)

Has anyone done this before? I want to figure out the smartest and simplest way, since I'm already having a headache trying to find insurance in Ontario for RHD....

    Any ideas let me know!!

We shipped a van a number of years ago from Vancouver to Toronto by rail. No damage or problems other than waiting for them to unload it. Don't recall the company though.

      I'd recommend rail.

Montreal to lower mainland BC cost me 1500ish give or take. I used lh Hansen, I DO NOT recommend them. Nor sea rail or Livingston, all bad reputations.

Mackey Transport...I used them to ship my old Chevelle from Kamloops to Brandon..$1100 iirc and it was door to door service in a fully enclosed trailer with an elevator just like a NASCAR hauler.

+1 for tfx. I was quoted 3000 from Montreal to vancouver. I should have taken that but ended up paying for my mistake with lh hansen. You get what you pay for

I researched a little myself, and i could be wrong, but mackey auto transport covers up to alberta. Thats their furthest branch from their site
