I'm going to push for a Sport Compact and a Skyline Trophy. If we get 20+ club cars to show up it would be a crime to not acknowlage that. The response from the IVOAC people is tepid at best so I don't think I'll get to crazy about a JDM class to include them as well. If some show up they will have to go in the class that best fits them (ie: Surfs in truck, Figaro's in Sport Compact, etc..).

Meeting is on the 6th (Mon.) so I will have more info then.

at our meet last week the guy who was the chairman or whatever stopped by and i think he told us that we got our own class and trophy. I didn't actually talk to him though, Brian, can you confirm?

One of the things that they have done in the last 3 years is TRIM classes. They had WAY to many 5 years ago. Adding more at this point will need a huge turnout to justify it. Sport compact has all but died out in the last 5 years, less and less show up, and the ones that do are largely crap with a few nice ones (if you're into that sort of stuff).

If we have a really good turnout this year there should be ZERO issue with making this a permenant class (JDM most likely to go with the British and Euro). This most likely will be the last year in a while for a Skyline Only class. The only reason it's happening again is because we are the visiting club again this year.

Make it huge gentleman, I want to OWN that side of the street this year.

yeah but can they claim there is a huge turnout for all the other classes they have... Like 2 years ago. there was two trucks in the 4x4 catagory?? Brian can confirm that one? Reason sport compact died out was cause of the terrible judging etc... and again no recogniztion

what does a day look like time wise, how early is drop off/setup, how late is pickup, will the cars be safe from vandalism? its my first car show.

just fillin out the reg, any special notes on filling it out. eg. judged?

show up around 7 (the group will confirm closer to time- as we have to arrive as a group to park as a group).. park cars,,, people start filling in whenever they want public streets, your done by 6 and on your way... Dont think there has ever been an issue regarding vandalism.
