Hey guys, quick question for all you BCers out there....

I've heard the police are cracking down on DOT headlights, and apparently will impound / tow your car if you are not running DOT headlights, or daytime running lights.

My car passed Alberta OOP, and the Alberta mechanical inspection without me having either of these done, so I've never bothered to do them.

I don't really want to get a ticket, or at worst have the car towed, on my way to Skymeet west, so at the very least I'll be setting up daytime running lights......should I also look at doing the Accord headlight setup?

your out of province and will just be coming down for the cruise correct? therefore you are not under their jurisdiction
they might pull you over, see your from out of province and tell you to go on your way

The only issue that i've ever heard regarding headlights are that ICBC won't cover them when they find out you swapped in the OEMs. Don't give them a reason to pull you over.

ive had reg. r32 lights in my car for about a year now, ive never had a problem. hell ive driven through any number of roadblocks (seatbelt/alcohol checks)

MWRACING is currently looking for members who are attending and know the routes, to step up, and allow a sign/sticker on your car window. so people know who to follow incase the cruise breaks up during a redlight or traffic etc.. there will be 3-4 members needed.. and spaced out accordingly along the cruise. And feel the responsibility to stop at approaching yellow/red lights so the non-local people behind him can feel assured that even though they might have lost the pack briefly, there is a member insight that knows the way etc.. etc..
